WHO AM I?

I have been involved in law library preservation for more than 25 years. In the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), I have presented a number of papers, chaired two Preservation Committees (one founded by me), and I have proposed and coordinated more than a dozen educational programs on preservation.  I decided to directly assist libraries in their preservation efforts after retiring from my career as an academic law librarian.

Preservation of physical materials continues as a vital aspect of library administration. Contact me to discuss your specific requirements. I am able to provide professional assistance in preserving your general circulating or non-circulating volumes as well as rare books. I can advise on ways to avoid light damage, techniques for making custom-made phase boxes and pamphlet binders, best practices for shelving and book repair, how to draw up your own checklist for determining how to deal with books in need of treatment, and many other ways to care for books from  my many years in the field.
